This
is Kevin's tribute to the indigenous people of Australia, the Aborigines.
Anderson, Bruford , Wakeman and Howe, with their song Birthright
, struck a chord with him. When he lived in Australia, Kevin understood
how the Aborigines had been mistreated and not respected by the
invading settlers over a long period.
"This
place is theirs by their own birthright", followed by sounds of
the aboriginal instrument the Didgeridu. These are the closing words
of the track sung by Jon Anderson.
The
scene shows the distant Ayres Rock, viewed from the flat plains
in the middle of Australia at sunset. The Aborigines call it Uluru,
the name of the local tribe that used to live there. (now a tourist
attraction) In the foreground we see the Uluru tribe relaxing around
the fire listening to a musician playing the Didgeridu.
