Kevin
has always had an interest in the many "wonders of the world" around
the globe, The temples of Angkor Wat being one of them in Cambodia,
South East Asia.
Kevin
originally bought the Union album by Yes on vinyl, listened and
enjoyed what he heard. However he later discovered there were two
tracks on the album yet to be heard, only available on CD and cassette.
So, he later bought a copy of the cassette, after hearing Angkor
Wat and Give and Take at his cousin's house..
He
liked the atmospheric feel to the Angkor Wat track and wondered
what the poem was about at the end. This inspired Kevin to create
this image.
We
see Angkor Wat at sunrise/sunset. Kevin later discovered that the
poem at the end of the track, which sounds as though it is spoken
by a native person, when translated into English, are the same words
Jon Anderson delivers to his audience at the beginning of his South
American Tour in 1993 on stage.
This
wonderful poem read as follows
WE
ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE UNIVERSE
WE WILL LIVE IN A WORLD BEYOND WAR
WE WILL LIVE IN A WORLD BEYOND GREED AND STARVATION
WE WILL LIVE IN A WORLD OF PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING BECAUSE
WE ARE CHILDREN OF THE UNIVERSE.
