Inspiration:

Looking at my waterways map I soon realised that Saltisford was near where I live
so I went to investigate and discoved a canal narrowboat community.

There was also Saltisford Canal Trust Ltd nearby under the guise of a canal shop.

I spoke to the proprietor there, Mr Ian Newman, and showed him my portfolio.

He commissioned me to paint a scene of the Saltisford community from the 'arm' direction.

So I took several photographs and chose the best one to use as a painting.
