Inspiration:
I
have always liked the Yes Logo created by Roger Dean and I consider
it sad
that it does not appear on every album cover.
So
to compensate for this I decided to create the logo in 3D.
The
Letter E is represented by the Earth.
The Y and the S form the rest of the spaceship travelling through
the heavens in orbit around the sun.
On board are all the Yes members creating songs about the deeper
and higher meaning to life on Earth.
This,
to me encapsulates Yes.
Some of Roger Dean's Paintings adorn the walls of the Logo.
This
is my tribute to the great band Yes and the Artist Roger Dean.
I
find Yes music very uplifting. I love the complexity of the music,
I find it challenging to listen to.
The
original painting was exhibited along with other Yes memorabilia
at an exhibition entitled "35 years of Wondrous Yes Music" owned
and organised by yes fan David Watkinson. The venue was the Haworth
Gallery in Jon Anderson's birthplace, Accrington, Lancashire, during
October 2004.
