Inspiration:

According to reliable sources in the waterway world,
Norton Junction has not been painted by an Artist to date.

So I walked along the towpath from Long Buckby and found Norton Junction.
I also discovered that Inland Waterways were looking for this image to publish as a Christmas Greeting Card.

However it must have snow on it.
So after taking several photographs of the junction without snow I decided on the best one to use for the painting.

Once the painting was complete I added some snow.
