Inspiration:

Inspired and commissioned by Mr Ray Pettit from Hinckley, Leicestershire
who I met on Platform 1 at Loughbrough Station 1998.

I was marketing my railway prints at a stall on the railway platform at a special steam weekend event.

Ray had a love for 'Stanier Red Duchess' and the LMS.

He wanted me to create a scene showing the power of the Red Duchess as seen here defying the elements.

I found the project most challenging.
