Inspiration:

I love the look of these locomotives, the Thompson - Peppercorn A1 Class.

I think my title is rather appropriate because of it's elegance.

I could not believe that all these locomotives were scrapped with the demise of steam by 1968.
Not one was kept for preservation.

Since then though, steam restoration enthusiasts who must have similar views to me,
have built a new locomotive (much to my pleasure) number 60163 'Tornado' to Peppercorn's original design drawings.
