A
milestone in tv history. The first episode of Dr Who first shown
in Nov 1963 captured here in a montage.
All the elements at the beginning of the episode are captured here
with the help of various Doctor Who publications and their photographic
material, along with images on the 'An Unearthly Child' video (BBC).
This is my tribute to the great actor William Hartnell, supported
by the superb acting abilities of Jacqueline Hill, William Russell,
and Carole Ann Ford.
They gave Dr Who credibility straightaway and laid the foundations
for what was to follow.
The Unearthly Child's name is Susan (played by Carole) who was the
granddaughter of the Doctor (William Hartnell).
The montage has been approved by Jessica Carney (William Hartnell's
granddaughter, William Russell, Carole Ann Ford and Alvin Rakoff
(husband of the late Jacqueline Hill) .
The image has been published in a fanzine entitled 'Grand Order
Of The Time Lords', run by David And Sandra Metcalfe 1996.
Prints have raised money for charity, auctioned by Carole Ann Ford
at 'Battlefield IV' 2000 Dr Who convention at The Leofric Hotel
Coventry, UK
